I used to frequent goldyburgers years ago. Life sort of changed and I hadn't made it in 4 years or so... went back tonight... OMG! What was I thinking? 2 huge. Perfectly, medium rare burgers with melty blue cheese goodness, bacon, mushrooms, lettuce tomatoes, fries and an order of mushrooms for $30? Great patio, terribly reasonable prices and just burgers that are the bomb! RUN dont walk to goldys to satisfy your burger craving! Make sure you bring cash, credit and debit cards dont work here!

You go here for Una the manager - plain and simple. She is everything! She is a hoot.
The drinks are super inexpensive. The food is delicious and further super inexpensive.
It's bar food - you'll want to go and get a burger.
It's not fancy, it's served on paper plates which I honestly kind of love.
The music is a mosh mosh - they sometimes have live music, other times they have the jukebox which is a collection of what I think are mix CDs made by the regulars. It's honestly another super charming reason to go.
Street parking is plentiful and it's right down the street from a bowling alley.
The area is quiet and tiny.
The bar is huge.
It seems most of the people in attendance were regulars, which again, to me, is another good sign. I really enjoyed this place. -

Great old school pub. Friendly staff. Great food. Just don't be a jerk.
Low key vibe.
A little gem hidden in Forest Park -

Checked my bookmarks for a lunch date and bam this juicy looking burger spot pops up. Since it was nearby we dropped in. There were 2 other patrons besides myself and my friend dining in and doing take out. We ordered burgers & chicken wings. Our waitress was very friendly & accommodating. She gave us advice on good options. While waiting on the food I played a dollar on their gaming machine, and yeah I lost my dollar. HUGE SIGH... Took the food about 15mins. The wings were fresh and cooked well, but lacked flavor & the sauce on the side wasn't good. The burger was good! They give you a 1/2 lb patty, w/fries. Very good!!! My mushrooms could've been sauteed better, but it was a really good burger.

A dive bar in an off the beaten path part of Forest Park. It was strangely quiet for a Saturday night- perhaps people were resting up for the Super Bowl the next day. Anyway, the burgers are delish. Nothing fancy, but very good.
